We all face problem at some stage in life like hair fall, dandruff, easy breaking of hair etc. Unfortunately, there's no single factor governing the same problem in all of us. There can be many causes of hair problems like heredity factors, environmental conditions, lesser nutrition supply to hair etc. In such situations, ayurvedic products are one of the best options to try as these are free of lab synthesized chemicals and so cause lesser harm to sensitive hair. These days products by Baba Ramadev's Patanjali Ayurveda are in vogue. So, I decided to give one of the products a try:

Product Claims: Prevents breaking and drying of hair. Prevents hair-fall. Makes hair, healthy, thick and beautiful
Product Description: The product comes in a plastic white bottle. The color of the product reminds of thin caramel sauce. The fragrance is not like the modern day products. But its natural and free from artificial smelling ingredients
Usage Directions: Take 2 to 3 ml on palm. Massage on wet hair and rinse.

I remember the first time I purchased bottle of Patanjali shampoo. Its about 3 to 3.5 years ago. The fragrance and the color of the shampoo has not changed much but the change I experienced this time are the superb results on application . Take little product on palm and apply as directed.
It produces sufficient lather which makes rinsing enjoyable. The fragrance of the product is quite similar to the one I used the very first time 3 years back. The fragrance has not gone much change. Its blend of fragrances which reminds of Indian heritage - Ayurveda. Its natural and does not smell artificial any way. After rinsing, it makes hair smooth and silky. I had a lot of dandruff and the scalp generally used to be dry. But after using this product the scalp is cleansed very well. Honestly speaking, 70% of the dandruff is gone in 2 to 3 washes and hair do not feel greasy at all. There has been quite a good improvement in texture of hair. Dandruff has reduced to a significant amount. I do not see much hair fall also. Strands of hair stand strong and thick without tangling. 3 years earlier the shampoo used to make my hair thin but now I don't face the same issue. Scalp does not get dry after application. I did not take a close look at the ingredients of the product in my first purchase but few things which I noticed have changed in these 3 years are:
1. the shampoo has changed to cleanser,
2. the size of the bottle has become bigger,
3. the shape of the bottle looks pretty cooler than the previous one and
4. the last but but not the least that the results of the product have improved alot
I forgot to share that I use hair color which generally gets fade after 2 or 3 washes with shampoos containing sulfates and other chemical ingredients but no such problem observed with Patanjali's cleanser. Its not expensive and easily lies under budget of middle class buyers. What else do you want from a shampoo?
