How to lose weight

Every woman wants a perfect and toned body structure to catch the attention of the people around her. Beauty is believed to be the real jewel of women and no woman would look beautiful with excess weight. Specially during occasions like parties where people scan your personality and looks well, an uneven or distorted body structure cannot leave a good impression on others. Uncontrolled and unshaped body is an invitation to lethargy and diseases in future. For the modern day women, its important to stay active, fit, beautiful and slim. We are listing some basic steps one can follow for losing weight:

How to lose weight


1. Avoid too hot or too cold water:
Never drink chilled or too hot water. If one want to stay  young and slim for longer period of your life, then its the first important point one should keep in mind. Prefer warm (in winters) or normal water( not less than 11 degrees of temperature) in summers for both drinking and bathing.

2. Add cow's milk to diet: 
I know there are already number of myths and misconceptions about the milk obtained from cow. But milk obtained from cow contains lesser proportion of fat and is more nutritious than many other milk obtained from other animals. Even during dieting, cow's milk forms an important part of diet. You can guess the importance of it that if a newly born baby is deprived of feed from mother, the only milk that doctors recommend to be given to the baby is the one from cow because its easily digestible. It contains large number of nutrients that repairs the damaged parts of the skin and adds glow to skin. But in today's world, he quality, nutrition and availability of natural products has already decreased and so is the case with milk. If you find difficulty in searching for good quality milk, you can opt for milk obtained from a goat or milk prepared from soybeans. Both the milks are best alternatives to cow's milk. 1 glass or 1 cup of warm milk taken empty stomach can change the shape and physique of body.

3. Switch your evening tea:
If you are really serious about your weight loss and want a more slim and toned body with a perfect shape and figure then try this new tea in the evening:
Take juices or extracts of garlic and onion juice-10 grams each.  Add it to 1 glass of warm water. Also, add honey as per taste and stir it well. Drink it slowly by taking small sips. Try it every evening. In winters, you can also add 10 grams juice of ginger in the above mixture which accelerates the melting of unnecessary fat inside body and results in weight loss.
4. Drink water and food habits:
One important cause of increasing weight can be disturbed metabolism. If the food is not digested well, it will stick inside stomach and add bulk of weight. If you follow the steps below in your daily life, your metabolism will not fluctuate and digestion of food will be easy. Here are few tips for attaining a good shape and physique:

a) Eat freshly cooked and warm food only. Take meal bit lesser (few bites lesser) than appetite, the extra space that remains empty in stomach is for oxygen that will oxidize the food inside stomach faster.
b) Chew your food well before swallowing it. If much of the food will be chewed and broken into small bits in mouth, the energy required to break the food inside stomach will be saved and food will be easily digested.
c)   Drink at least 4 liters of water a day. But drink slowly by taking sips and drink luke warm water only. Drink warm water (not less than 12 degrees in temperature) while eating meal by taking small bites of food and taking small sips of water after every 2 or 3 bites. You can add mixture of juices of garlic and onion (10 gm each) to 1 glass of drinking water. This will improve metabolism and you will not feel sleepy also, after taking meal. We have noticed that sometimes pimples get reduced or disappear completely after adding these juices to drinking water.  
d) Avoid or reduce the consumption of animal proteins in the form of meat, omelette, fish etc. Excess or over fried foods, eatables made of white refined flour, sugar and too cold or chilled foods and drinks should be avoided. If you want sugar in your food, you can add honey, jaggery,  rock sugar ( known as misri in India). The sugar we are telling to avoid is the one available in market which has been polished by bones of animals or synthetic methods. Such sugar is poisonous to human health and must be avoided. Its a cause of diabetes and other serious diseases.   Add more green vegetables, unpolished cereals and fresh fruits in your diet. 
e) Anything too hot or chilled or cold should be avoided for eating. If you want to eat cold food like ice creams in parties, then take it before meal. Do not eat anything chilled or cold after taking meal because it cools the digestion heat inside body.
f) Do take a walk for 15 min to half an hour after taking meal. This will help in easy digestion of the meal.
g) Never take sleep immediately after taking meal. Wait for at least an hour or more before going to bed.

5. Do take morning and/or evening walk:
When the sun is rising in morning and setting in the evening, its good to go for a walk or exercise in open environment. The temperature, air and rays from sun at these timings are highly beneficial to human health that keep body young and fit for longer time.

6. Practice breathing excercises:
Simple breathing exercises or meditation is an easy way to reduce weight and tensions because deep breathing is a good source of oxygen. It deeply oxidizes food and channelizes the flow of energy inside body. Practice it in open environment. You can learn it in groups initially but later practice it in lonely and calm environment like the terrace of your home or a park where you can breathe freely and deeply. Meditation not just keeps body balanced and fit, it has other health benefits too. Initially, practice simple breathing exercises  which do not require much effort and easy to understand. Once you get comfortable with these exercises, you can go for more complex ones. Whatever be the reasons of increasing or over weight whether its thyroid disturbance, hormonal disorder or any other disease, 1 to 2 hour of breathing exercises will keep you young and away from all diseases, if done correctly.We will right a separate post on precautions that need to be taken before and after doing breathing exercises.

Remember whatever  methods you try for losing weight, make sure that you do not lose weight fast in the beginning because this can result in disorders later. In fact, dietitians and doctors also suggest to lose weight slowly and steadily. But one thing for sure that you can stop or reduce the consumption of eatables mentioned in step 4(d). This will really help in weight loss at initial stage. All the above tips are the basic tips for losing weight we have been following and advising people for many years and currently number of people working working with us have lost many unnecessary fat and kilos of weight.
