Avon naturals ayurvedic whitening cream (turmeric/kesar/sandalwood) review

Winters are going to start and I am looking for a product that keeps my skin moisturized and glowing. My search ended on a newly released cream from Avon and here are my reviews on it:

Product price: INR 249 for 50 g

Ingredients and claims:

Usage: Apply desired amount onto finger tips and gently smooth onto cleansed face and neck in an upward and outward motion. Use twice daily for best results.

Avon naturals ayurvedic whitening cream (turmeric/kesar/sandalwood) review:

It comes in a white and yellow colored tube with a yellow flip open cap. The cream is semi liquid, cream colored and has very minute particles that can be felt if rubbed between fingers. Fragrance is blend of fragrances of turmeric and normal cold creams available in market. Just take sufficient amount onto hand and apply on face. Its bit moisturizing and lightens skin complexion.

It melts on skin within seconds and gets absorbed easily. It reduces skin roughness and complexion on few applications. The texture of the cream is non sticky and its not at all heavy on my skin like normal cold creams. Skin looks mildly moisturized after application. After few weeks, face looks little brighter and glowing than before. Its suits better to medium skin tones than fair ones. The drawbacks are it does not keep skin moisturized for long hours and leaves a little white cast on skin. After few hours, it loses moisture and skin again turns to same normal texture. So, its not suited to cold and drying winter weather. It works well in the months of September-October when winters have not completely started and summers have ended.

1. Light on skin, not at all heavy, non-sticky and gets easily absorbed

2. Fragrance is natural, not strong and not weak too

3. Has a moisturizing effect on skin.

4. Reduces face roughness

5. Suited to medium skin tones

Cons of Avon naturals ayurvedic whitening cream (turmeric/ kesar/ sandalwood):

1. Loses moisture in few hours

2. Leaves a little white cast on skin

3. Available at Avon representatives only

Would I buy it again?

No, because  I want a more moisturizing cream for my skin in winter. So, I will search for a better cream.
