Himalaya Herbals Oil Clear Lemon Face Wash Reviews

The product I am going to review today was bought last year when summer was going to end. I was fed up with the oily texture of the skin and decided to switch my face care products. This time I bought another oil clearing face wash and the results were....

Product Name: Himalaya Herbals Oil Clear Lemon Face Wash

Product Claims: A soap-free,  herbal formulation that gently cleanses your face and removes excess oil. Oil clear lemon face wash is enriched with lemon, an astringent and cooling agent, and honey, which has natural, deep-cleansing properties. Unlike soap your face will not feel dry and stretched. Use regularly for clean, fresh and glowing skin.

Directions: Moisten face and neck; apply a small amount of oil Clear lemon face wash and gently work up a lather using a circular motion. Wash off and pat dry. Use twice daily. Follow with Himalaya Nourishing face moisturizing Lotion. Use Himalaya clarifying mud pack once a week to rejuvenate and revitalize your skin

Product description: It comes in a transparent plastic tube with a green flip open cap. The cap is tight enough that it cannot be opened without sufficient force. On exposure to air for long duration of weeks, the product gets thicker and contracts to a thick gel.

My reviews on Himalaya Herbals Oil Clear Lemon Face Wash:
I bought it near the end of august and that time I was going to use it for the first time. Take a little product on palm and smooth gently on wet face. Rinse face after few seconds or a minute. First, it does not create rich foam but leaves a mild fragrance on face.

August is the month when season starts shifting from summer  to autumn. Its an intermediate phase between the two. The city pollution and dust collected on face is enough to make it go dull. So, a timely face treatment becomes a necessity, especially for oily skin. It removes dust and dullness to little extent but it doesn't meet the expectations as sometimes I did not get a good texture after using it. Areas close to nose, forehead, cheeks etc where oil and dirt collects easily saw a  change as oil got cleared but it looked smoothness. Clean skin can be felt but claims like glowing and fresh skin are hard to achieve with it. Dull areas saw a little change but those were not up to expectation. You can call it more an oil clearing face wash than a moisturizing product. Though spots did not appear or reduce after using it , I did not find much change in skin texture. Yes, it provides relief under oily/ humid condition and this can be a benefit to some skin types. You can consider using it with other face products which I did most  of the time to neutralize the results.

Pros of Himalaya Herbals Oil Clear Lemon Face Wash:
1. Mildly fragrant
2. Not expensive
3.  Easily available
4. Removes oil and dirt easily

Cons of Himalaya Herbals Oil Clear Lemon Face Wash:
1. Does not leather much
2. Product dries and contract  if cap of the tube is kept open for long
3. Skin lacks freshness. Dull areas do not feel smooth after application

Makeupsreview rating:
3.5/5

Do I recommend buying it?
Depends. In summers and polluted atmosphere, it removes dirt collected on face and works nicely on oily skin whereas in winters, it can dry skin. So, try it on oily skin in summers. Don't use on dry skin when summers are gone.
